If you are an applicant, you can choose to authorise a third party to be your party representative. This means that the party representative

  • takes over your rights and obligations in the case,

  • can submit and withdraw your application for a residence and work permit,

  • may submit information and documentation for your case,

  • may speak on your behalf, and

  • may gain access to your case.

In addition, SIRI will send all letters and decisions to your party representative, who is responsible for communicating the content to you.

Please note that SIRI may require you to attend in person when it is of importance to the decision of the case, e.g. when you need to have biometrics recorded or if you need an ID check as a commuter or EU citizen.

If your party representative is a lawyer in Denmark and is listed on advokatnoeglen.dk, it is not necessary to give the lawyer a power of attorney.

If your party representative is not a lawyer, you can use our standard authorisation form.

You can give power of attorney to a journalist or a media outlet so they can access your cases at SIRI in connection with a press inquiry. You can also give power of attorney to SIRI, and SIRI will be able to make a statement to a journalist or media outlet about your cases.

You can find our power of attorney for the press and read more at siri.dk (only available in Danish)

You can always withdraw a power of attorney by contacting the Immigration Service.
