Suspension of asylum cases regarding individuals from Syria

The Danish Immigration Service has decided to suspend the processing of asylum cases concerning individuals from Syria.

This decision follows the Danish Refugee Appeals Board's Coordination Committee's resolution on 9 December 2024, to suspend cases in the Refugee Appeals Board concerning individuals from Syria due to the highly uncertain situation in the country following the fall of the Assad regime.

The Danish Immigration Service will continuously inform affected asylum seekers about the suspension, which will remain in effect until further notice. It should be noted that the Coordination Committee of the Refugee Appeals Board will review the suspension again at its next meeting on 16 January 2025.
