SIRI makes income statistics available and adjusts the way statistics are used
SIRI will from now on publish an income report with the DISCO codes’ lower quartile. The new revised model for using these income statistics will apply to applications based on salaried work submitted from 1 April 2023.
To be granted a residence and work permit based on salaried work, it is a condition that the foreign employee’s salary and terms of employment correspond to Danish standards. When assessing whether the salary corresponds to Danish standards, we use the income statistics from The Confederation of Danish Employers (DA) as a guideline.
SIRI will from now on use these income statistics in a new way. The new model will have the “total monthly salary excluding nuisance compensation” as a benchmark and will take into consideration whether the applicant is offered free choice arrangement. By using this new benchmark, the holiday supplement will now also be part of the income statistics, which SIRI uses when assessing whether the salary corresponds to Danish standards.
Moreover, SIRI will from now on take regional salary differences into consideration, by using income statistics for the specific region where the applicant is going to work.
SIRI will, furthermore, publish on newtodenmark.dk an income report from DA with the DISCO codes' lower quartile. This is with the purpose of making the application process more transparent, as it is the lower quartile from DA’s income statistics that SIRI uses as a guideline when assessing whether the salary corresponds to Danish standards.
The new revised model for the use of income statistics will apply to applications based on salaried work submitted on 1 April 2023 and onwards.
