Starting 14 May 2019 SIRI introduces booking of appointments and recording of biometric data in all branch offices

The Danish Agency for International recruitment and Integration (SIRI) will be implementing booking of appointments and recording of biometric data in our branch offices SIRI Odense, SIRI Aalborg, SIRI Aarhus and SIRI Aabenraa from the 14 to the 20 May.

This means that in the future an appointment must be booked before appearing at SIRI.

This also means that it will be possible to submit both applications for residence documents after EU regulations and applications for residence permits after the Danish Aliens Act in all the abovementioned branch offices.

For the various branch offices, the changes will be implemented on the following days:

SIRI Odense: Tuesday 14 May 2019
SIRI Aarhus: Wednesday 15 May 2019
SIRI Aalborg: Thursday 16 May 2019
SIRI Aabenraa: Monday 20 May 2019

Starting 9 May 2019 it will be possible to book an appointment at SIRI on newtodenmark.dk/bookingSIRI.

How to book an appointment at SIRI?

From 9 May appointments for all SIRI branch offices can be booked on newtodenmark.dk/bookingSIRI.

Can the application be submitted to the police?

You continue to be able to submit applications for residence permits after the Danish Aliens Act and have biometric data recorded at a number of police stations nationwide.

Please note that it is not possible to submit an application for an EU residence document to the police except on Bornholm where you will be able to submit applications after the Danish Aliens Act and after the EU rules.

Types of application processed by SIRI

SIRI processes all applications concerning residence after EU regulations.

SIRI also processes applications from citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland for residence permits after the Danish Aliens Act and extensions of such permits based on e.g.:

Work
Study
Accompanying family members to employees and students
Au pair-stays
Internships
Working Holiday
Establishment card

Please note that applications processed by the Danish Immigration Service must still be submitted to the Danish Immigration Service. This includes applications for family reunification after the Danish Aliens Act.
