Apply for visa to Denmark and the other Schengen countries from the Faroe Islands or Greenland
You are a citizen of a country with a visa requirement, who holds a residence permit in the Faroe Islands or Greenland and wish to travel to Denmark and/or the other Schengen countries for up to 90 days.
If you are a citizen of a country with a visa requirement with a residence permit in the Faroe Islands or Greenland and wish to travel to Denmark, you must have a visa. As a general rule, you must meet the basic conditions for obtaining a visa for Denmark and the other Schengen countries. However, travel medical insurance is not required.
If you are travelling to one or more Schengen countries, you must also have a visa and meet the basic conditions for obtaining a visa. In these cases, travel medical insurance is required, unless you have refugee status in Greenland.
You must also have a visa if you wish to travel via Denmark and/or the other Schengen countries in order to travel to your home country or another country outside the Schengen area.

The application must be submitted to the police in the Faroe Islands or Greenland, who will forward the application to the Danish Immigration Service. You must complete the visa application form VS1 and submit the relevant documents required for the processing of your application.
