On December 10, 2024, the Danish Immigration Service decided to suspend the processing of asylum cases concerning individuals from Syria. This decision is still pending and follows the Refugee Appeals Board’s decision on December 9, 2024, to suspend the processing of cases related to individuals from Syria due to the highly uncertain situation in the country following the fall of the Assad regime.

This decision applies to cases concerning Syrian citizens, stateless individuals from Syria, and stateless Palestinians from Syria.
