You must apply for a residence and work permit if you are a third-country national employed by a foreign company outside the EU and you are travelling to Denmark to provide a service on behalf of the foreign company at a company in Denmark.

In AR9, you and your employer must each complete your part of the application before you submit the application. You also have the option of being represented by your employer or by a third party who can complete the application on your behalf.

In the application, you must select which work scheme you want to apply for. You can apply under the following schemes: the Pay Limit schemes, the Positive List for People with a Higher Education, Researcher, Mobile workplaces at sea, Special individual qualifications, Herdsmen and farm managers.

Normally, an application for a residence and work permit in Denmark should be submitted via our online solution, but as your employer is not registered in Denmark, you must use the application form AR9, which is only available in a print version. However, you can scan the application form and submit it via SIRI's contact form, or you can submit the application to the nearest Danish representation abroad. Remember to attach or enclose the necessary documentation. You will find the list of required documents on the first page of the application form.
