Asylum cases concerning persons from Iran are no longer suspended

The Danish Immigration Service has decided that the processing of applications for asylum from persons from Iran will no longer be suspended.

The decision was made after the Coordination Committee of the Refugee Appeals Board decided on 27 August 2026 that there are no longer grounds for maintaining the suspension of cases concerning persons from Iran before the Refugee Appeals Board.

At present, the Danish Immigration Service expects to be able to start summoning persons from Iran to asylum interviews during the first quarter of 2027.
