New digital application in the area of work in Greenland – what does this mean for you as a professional user?
On 16 February 2026, the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) will launch the new digital application GL1/5, which can be used when applying for a residence and work permit in Greenland on the basis of paid work. This means that as of 16 February 2026, applications can be completed and submitted online on newtodenmark.dk.
What is new?
In the new digital application, you can fill out and submit the application online. You will experience a new design, as well as a new flow and language improvements throughout the application.
In addition to this, you will only have to insert the email address of the applicant in order to give the applicant access to their part of the application. Simply follow the instructions found within the application.
Moreover, you can log in and see your applications for up to 30 days after they have been submitted.
For a periode of time, it will still be possible to submit printable applications in person or through the contact form on newtodenmark.dk.

On Tuesday 17 February 2026 at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Greenlandic time), we invite employers and third parties to a webinar where we will present the new application and show how to complete it.
