Invitation to a webinar on increased flexibility in the business schemes and the new educational attachment scheme

SIRI invites you to a webinar where we focus on the new rules for the Danish bank account requirement, the job change rule, the extension of short-term stays and the new educational attachment scheme, among other things. The webinar is in Danish.

SIRI regularly holds webinars focusing both on the area of international recruitment and the EU area. The purpose of the webinars is to inform SIRI's users about the rules and application procedures.

On 25 June 2024, we will hold a webinar on the new educational attachment scheme and the new rules providing increased flexibility in the work schemes, both of which will come into force on 1 July 2024.

The webinar will focus on the following points, based on legislative proposals L 147 and L 180:

  • The possibility of extending short-term stays.

  • The extension of the job change rule, which can now also include situations where the foreign national wants to change their work scheme during an ongoing employment.

  • The repeal/amendment of the requirement for a Danish bank account so that foreign nationals with a residence and work permit based on the researcher scheme or the Fast-Track scheme's pay limit track, researcher track, short-term track and education track are exempt from the requirement, and the remaining work schemes will get an extension of the existing deadline for the creation of a Danish bank account from 90 days to 180 days.

  • The educational attachment scheme, which gives certain foreigners who lose their previous residence permit and who are enrolled in or currently studying an education in an area where there is a shortage of labour, the opportunity to continue their residence in Denmark.
