Clarification of practice regarding look-ups in the income statistics concerning the assessment of salary corresponding to Danish standards
SIRI clarifies the current practice regarding which region is used when, during the case processing under a number of work schemes, it is assessed whether the offered salary corresponds to Danish standards
It is a condition for being granted a residence and work permit with the purpose of work that the salary and terms of employment correspond to Danish standards.
When SIRI assesses whether the offered salary corresponds to Danish standards, SIRI uses the lower quartile level in DA’s income statistics as a benchmark. DA’s income statistics are based on salary reportings related to the workplace, i.e. the geographical address where the employee works/is employed.
The starting point for SIRI’s practice continues to be that look-ups in DA’s income statistics will be made according to the region in which the employing company has its address registered in the CVR system.
Simultaneously, it is clarified that if the employment contract states that the work is performed at a fixed workplace in a different region, SIRI will by look-ups in DA’s income statistics take as a starting point the region in which the work place lies if the workplace is a p unit (p-enhed) under the employing company’s CVR number.
SIRI has clarified the information text on our website.
