New fee rates for applications to the Danish Immigration Service on 17 May 2023

The Danish Immigration Services’ fee rates for applications in the area of family reunification and permanent residence permit have been be adjusted on 17 May 2023. The new fee rates must be paid for applications submitted on 17 May 2023 onwards.

The new fee rates are available on each application page and on the overview of fee rates on

The old and new fee rates (in DKK) for selected case areas can be seen below.

Case area

2023 (from 17 May)

Family reunification

Extension of family reunification

Permanent residence permit on grounds of family reunification,
asylum etc.

Permanent residence permit on grounds of work and study

Religious workers and accompanying family members
(including extensions)

Please note: It is important that you create your Case Order ID, pay the fee and submit the application during the same fee rate period. If you have paid the fee before 17 May 2023, but submit the application after 17 May, you have paid the wrong fee. If the fee rate has increased, you will have to make an additional payment of the remaining fee. This can prolong the time needed by the Immigration Service to process your application. If you do not pay the remaining fee within a given deadline, the Immigration Service can reject your application. If the fee rate has decreased, you will be refunded the amount that you overpaid.

The Immigration Service’s fees for processing applications are normally adjusted on 1 January each year. The adjustment on 17 May 2023 is due to the fact that the national budget for 2023 takes effect on this date.
