The temporary suspension of the Working Holiday scheme has been repealed (except for Argentina)

The Minister for Immigration and Integration has decided to repeal the temporary suspension of all Working Holiday agreements, except for the agreement with Argentina.

Specifically for citizens of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea

The temporary suspension of the agreements with Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea has been repealed starting 30 October 2021.

This means that citizens from these countries are now again able to be granted Working Holiday residence permits in Denmark.

Specifically for citizens of Chile

The temporary suspension of the agreement with Chile has also been repealed starting 30 October 2021, but the number of residence permits for citizens of Chile is covered by a yearly qouta of 150 permits.

In addition, applications can only be submitted in Chile.

Specifically for citizens of Argentina

Argentina has not yet accepted Denmark’s proposal for a revision of the Working Holiday Agreement between Denmark and Argentina. This means that the suspension of the Working Holiday Agreement with Argentina continues to be in effect. It is therefore not possible for citizens of Argentina to be granted a Working Holiday residence permit in Denmark.
