Supplementary payment of caregiver allowance to certain persons accommodated at asylum centers

The Ministry of Immigration and Integration has observed that certain persons accommodated at an asylum center without a canteen have been paid too small an amount of allowance in the period from 1 January 2017 to 8 May 2019. The persons it concerns were included in the food allowance program in that period and where registered as providers for one or more minor children.

Based on an extensive inspection the Danish Immigration Service has identified a number of persons who have been paid too small an amount of allowance. These persons will receive the remaining amount with the next payout, occurring on 15 August 2019.

Individuals who believe they are entitled to a supplementary payment as a result of the rate of allowance being set to low and who does not receive a supplementary payment 15 August 2019, can contact The Immigration Service about this via the contact form
