If you wish to send confidential or sensitive information by email to the Immigration Service, you should use secure email or Digital Post.

You can also use our Contact Form. The Contact Form sends your inquiry using a secure connection to the Danish Immigration Service. However, we can only respond to your inquiry using a secure connection, if you have signed up for Danish Digital Post from public authorities.

Digital Post

You can send and receive Digital Post at borger.dk, e-boks.dk or virk.dk (companies).

Secure email

Secure email is email which has been encrypted and signed with a digital signature/NemID

In order to send or receive secure email, you need to install a digital signature/NemID.

On the website nemid.nu you can find more information about digital signature/NemID for private individuals and for companies/organisations.

You can get NemID at nemid.nu 

In order to send secure email to the Immigration Service, you must encrypt the email with one of the Immigration Service's certificates.

You can get the relevant certificate at nemid.nu. On the search page you must type the mail address you want to email to.
