Film about asylum
The Danish Immigration Service has made an information film which covers the different processes in an asylum case.
The Immigration Service’s information film covers the different processes in an asylum case – starting when the applicant arrives at an asylum center and ends when the applicant is granted a residence permit or when the application is rejected. Furthermore the film provides information about the rights and duties you have as an asylum seeker in Denmark. During the film different situations are shown, e.g. how the applicant’s biometric features are recorded at a police station and how an interview is conducted.
The film is 20 minutes long.
Specifically for young, unaccompanied minor asylum seekers
Young people under the age of 18, who arrive unaccompanied to Denmark, watch an extended version of the film. Among other things it shows how an age test is carried out at the national hospital (Rigshospitalet). The age test can be necessary in cases where it is not possible to determine the age. The film is 22 minutes long.
The film is produced prior to the ministries change in jurisdiction, 28 November 2016. Since then the film has been adjusted so that the change has been taken into account. In some languages the speak is yet to be changed. All speaks will be updated so the ministry’s correct name is evident.
