Continuation of the Start Up Denmark scheme for foreign entrepreneurs

On 20. December 2017 the Danish Parliament adopted the proposal to continue the Start Up Denmark scheme so that talented entrepreneurs from countries outside the EU/EEA also in future can apply for work and residence permits in Denmark. The scheme was previously a 3 year pilot program.

Minor adjustments have also been made. The annual quota as to numbers of residence permits has been increased from 50 to 75, and teams of up to 3 persons can now apply with reference to a given business idea. The changes have effect from 1. January 2018.

You can see the complete proposal in Danish here.

You can find further information about the scheme and the application process here on Newtodenmark and on the Danish Business Authoritys Start Up Denmark homepage.
