You can call the hotline at the number 70 26 28 18 on all weekdays between 9am and 3pm.

The aim of the hotline is to keep children and young people from being sent on re-education trips or entering into forced marriages. Below you can read more about what kind of help and guidance you can receive from the Immigration Service.

Re-education trips

You can call the hotline and receive guidance if you as child or young person are at risk of being or have been sent on a re-education trip.

For instance, you can be informed on how the Immigration Service can refuse to issue a passport for you or revoke your current passport issued by the Immigration Service if there is suspicion that you will be sent abroad on a re-education trip. We can do so to ensure that you will not be sent away. You can also receive guidance on how you can maintain your residence permit despite having been on a re-education trip.

Forced marriage

You can call the hotline and receive guidance if you, as a young person, are at risk of being sent abroad to marry officially or by a religious ceremony that holds no civil legitimacy against your will.

You can also receive guidance through the hotline if you are undecided as to whether you want to enter an arranged marriage.

The Immigration Service has the option to refuse to issue a passport for you or revoke your current passport issued by the Immigration Service if there is suspicion that you will be sent abroad to enter a forced marriage. We can do so to keep you from being sent away. Read more about this

You can have a meeting with a case worker

On the hotline, you can arrange a personal meeting with a case worker at the Immigration Service or SIRI.

The purpose of the meeting is to allow you to talk about your situation concerning a re-education trip or a forced marriage, and the meeting can be held without your parents participating and without them knowing that it is taking place.

You can bring along a person that you feel comfortable with to the meeting.

The Immigration Service or SIRI can have an interview with you in the form of a physical or virtual meeting that will help determine whether you have been or are at risk of being sent on a re-education trip or any other trip abroad with negative implications.

If the meeting takes place before you are sent abroad, the information gathered during the interview will be included in the Immigration Service’s assessment of whether your passport is to be revoked or if the agency is to refuse issuing a passport to prevent your departure. The agency can only do this if you have a convention or alien’s passport issued by the Immigration Service.

If the meeting takes place after you have been sent abroad, the information will be included in the our assessment of whether you can receive dispensation from your residence permit lapsing.
